  • The Barber of Seville. A comedy written by Pierre Beaumarchals and produced in Paris in 1975. It featured the famous Figaro as the barber in question.
  • Barbershop. A style of close-harmony singing by a male quartet. Informal music making existed in British Barber’s Shops in the 16th and 17th Centuries. These days you’re most likely to hear Take That on Radio Two.
